STEM challenge Stick Tower
P5 enjoyed the STEM challenge Stick Tower they got creative with real building materials—sticks (some rather giant sticks ) collected straight from our playground! Armed with their outdoor finds, big ideas, and plenty of teamwork, they set out to build the tallest, toughest tower they could.
From wobbly starts to “Wait, that might actually work!” moments, they tested shapes, rebuilt, problem‑solved, and laughed their way through the challenge. In the end, a proudly standing, nature‑made tower built by each team. 🌳✨
Spinning into multiplication fun. This week we were learning to multiply two-digit numbers by one digit the hands‑on way.
Grinch Day!
Primary 5/6 went full Grinch mode this! 💚 From writing instructions on how to steal Christmas to working out the area of the Grinch's face and creating it on MINECRAFT! Our class proved that even the Grinch can’t steal our holiday cheer especially with all the games and treats and science experiments going on! 🎄✨
Gardening with Kieran
P5/6 gardeners have been busy getting their hands dirty and some knees! 🌱🌼
With Kieran’s guidance, the children had a great time learning all about planting and caring for the garden. They’ve also discovered fascinating facts about bees and why they’re so important for our environment. 🐝💚
It was a wonderful mix of fun and learning outdoors!
Anti-Bullying Week
P5/6 have been working incredibly hard for Anti-Bullying Week! 💪✨
They’ve created amazing comic strips using Adobe to share powerful messages about kindness and respect. 📚🎨To top it off, they took part in a live lesson where they designed impactful anti-bullying posters! 🖌️💻.
Practical Numeracy
This week we have loved completing our numeracy practically in P5/6. We have loved calculating the perimeter of the shapes on the ground and using dice to practice our mental maths concepts.
Fire Service Visit!
Today we had the pleasure of the Fire Service out to visit us, the children loved learning all about fire safety in our homes. Miss Adamson also had to try on the uniform to get the full experience .
